This system has a mechanism which causes the rachet to brake automatically when loosing the rope, whether the operator is pulling, lifting or releasing the loads.

This system ensures ease of operation and for greater safety for the operator. All major components such as gears and bearings are heat treated for long durability. The epoxy powder paint finish and zinc coating protects against natural weathering and harsh environments ensuring long life.

Two stage pan performance inside one complete feeder is the idea behind Cumberland`s revolutionary Hi-Lo pan feeder System. The Hi-Lo pan feeder represents a unique concept in the poultry industry, using one feeder to take birds from day old through adult. the first 7-10 days of a broiler`s life are critical. The Hi-Lo p-an feeder starts onthe house floor, presenting a lip height of 2.1" (5.33cm). the avrage heightof traditional "chick lids". As the birds grow and the feed line is raised, the Hi-lo expands into a 3.5"(8.89cm) deep pan. The highr wall and feed saver lip prevent waste from raking and billout.

So far most broilers in the world are raised on the floor. For many years there have been trails and testes for raising broiler cages in, but so far thare are only few broiler operations using those systems.

The main reason why cages were not so successful so far are:
Damage of the carcasses during the fattening period because of breast blisters and feather follicles.
Damage to the birds wings and legs during catching from the cages.
Technical imperfection of cages.
High invesment costs in a broiler cage operation.

Advantage of broiler cages however can result in easier and better management and consequently higher profits for growers, because of:
No need for floor litter.
Broiler growing rate.
Better feed conversion.
Shorter growing period.

With a group of experienced people we have developed a new broiler cage system during the last years.
Because of European regulations this system might not be suitable for the international European market, but will be welcomed in Eastern Europe, Middle East, Far East and other perts of the world.
The new cage has been tested extenively and the field results are fantastic.

Growth is more rapid because animals do not need to expend energy on maintaining body temperature. In addition, the risk of infection is reduced because bedding is kept dry, and radiant heat is draught-free.

Earlier farrowing is promoted, especially during winter, and mortality rates are greatly reduced, as young animals can be separated from the mother at an earlier age under infrared heating.

These compact reflector lamps offer instant, accurately controllable heat where and when it is needed. Installation is quick and easy, with no need for costly building work, and the location and intensity of heating can easily be changed at any time.

Optimum economy is achieved not only by low-cost installation, but also by high-efficiency heat delivery to exactly where it is needed. Low thermal inertia of the infrared lamps means there is no delay for warming-up, and conversely heating stops virtually instantly when the lamps are switched off. Heat delivery is precisely controllable, either manually or by the use of an electronic control
system.
